Referral program

Send us a business. Both of you get a month.

Nearly all of our work arrives by word of mouth, so it seemed fair to make that worth something. Point a business anywhere in Atlantic Canada our way and, when their site goes live, their first month is free and a month is credited to your plan.

How it works

Three steps, and two of them are ours.

There is no portal, no dashboard and no unique link to remember. You send a name, we do the rest, and the credit appears on your next invoice without you having to chase it.

01

You send us a name

Text or email the business and a way to reach them, and tell them we'll be in touch so the call isn't a cold one. That's the whole of your part.

Takes 30 seconds
02

We talk to them properly

Same call everyone gets: twenty minutes, straight answers, and if we don't think a site will pay for itself for them, we say so. We won't lean on someone because you sent them.

Within a day or two
03

Their site goes live

Their first month is free. A month at your own plan rate is credited against your next invoice, and we'll tell you it's happened rather than waiting for you to notice.

At launch

We would rather pay you than pay for ads.

Word of mouth, mostlyNo cold callingNo pressure on your contact

Who to send

Who this actually works for.

Worth reading before you spend your own credibility on the introduction. A referral that goes nowhere costs you more than it costs us.

Good fit
Send these ones
The situationNo website at all, or one built years ago that nobody has been able to change since.
The situationA trade that quotes jobs and loses some of them to missed calls.
The situationAn owner who can't get hold of whoever built their current site.
The situationA club or association where the site is one volunteer's second job.
Probably not
Save yourself the introduction
The situationBooked solid for months on word of mouth. A Google listing will do more for them this year than we will.
The situationHappy with a site somebody else maintains. We don't take over other people's builds.
The situationShopping purely on price against a $12/mo builder. We'd lose that on the numbers and should.
The situationWants a ranking guarantee. Somebody will promise them one. It won't be us.
You don't have to be a client
Partners and everyone else
If you're a clientThe month comes off your next invoice at whatever your plan rate is.
If you're notAccountants, IT shops, signwriters and photographers refer us regularly. Tell us how you'd like it settled and we'll sort something fair.
Either wayWe'll tell the business you sent them, unless you ask us not to.
The small print

All of it, on one screen.

There is no separate agreement to sign for this. Everything that governs the referral credit is in the eight lines beside this, and the terms cover the rest.

No expiry on the offer
No paperwork
Ask us anything

01 The credit lands at launchNot at the enquiry, not at the signed scope. When their site is live and their plan starts, your credit is applied to your next invoice.
02 It's a month at your rateIf you're on Starter it's $99, if you're on the Lead Machine it's $399. It is a credit against your plan, not a cash payment.
03 Their first month is freeThe $800 build is charged as normal at launch, and their monthly billing starts in month two rather than month one.
04 Refer as many as you likeThere's no cap and no annual limit. Credits stack, so three referrals in a year is three months off.
05 Tell us before we talk to themIf a business gets in touch on their own and mentions your name afterwards, we'll usually still honour it, but a heads-up first removes the question entirely.
06 One referrer per businessIf two people send us the same name, the first one we heard from gets the credit. We'll tell both of you rather than quietly picking.
07 It doesn't apply to one-time workSEO tune-ups, malware cleanups, speed fixes and Google Business Profile setups don't carry a referral credit, because there's no monthly plan to credit it against.
08 If they cancel earlyYour credit stands. It's not clawed back, and we don't ask you to answer for somebody else's decision.
Got someone in mind?

Send us a name.

A business name and a number is plenty. We'll take it from there, and we'll treat them the way you'd want your own contact treated.

Most enquiries get a reply the same day, usually within a couple of hours.
