The work

Built for real businesses around Atlantic Canada.

A pizza shop, an auto body shop, a hockey program, a community association, a contractor and an IT training provider. Different businesses with the same job to do: look right, load quickly, and make it easy for a visitor to become a customer.

Seven builds, seven different jobs to do.

A takeout menu, a body shop's estimate flow, a hockey program's daily hub. The design changes because the job changes, but the foundation underneath is the same on all of them.

Old School Pizza

A takeout shop where nearly every visit is somebody hungry, on a phone, deciding in under a minute. The menu had to be readable at a glance, the hours had to be impossible to miss, and calling had to be a single tap. Everything else got out of the way.

JC AutoWorks

An auto body shop whose customers arrive stressed, usually straight after an accident, and want to know two things: can you fix this, and do you deal with my insurer. The site answers both above the fold, then makes it obvious how to send photos and start an estimate.

Clarke/Gray Hockey

Not a brochure. A hockey program wanted something players open on their phones between sessions, so the build went at schedules, sessions and program information first, and the marketing second. It sounds like the two coaches who run it, not like a template.

Nova Core Construction

General contracting, where the visitor is deciding whether to trust you with something expensive and slow to undo. The build leans on completed work, a clear service list, and a scope-first enquiry that gets the details a contractor actually needs before the first phone call.

WRWEO, The Bluff Trail

A community association looking after a trail network, with two audiences that want opposite things: hikers who need the trail, the map and the conditions right now, and members and volunteers who need the organisation behind it. The structure separates the two so neither has to scroll past the other.

DCATT

IT training, where the visitor is comparing courses and wants to know what is covered, how long it takes, and whether it leads anywhere. Course information is laid out to be scanned side by side, and the enquiry asks the questions that let a real answer come back the same day.

Action Framing

A framing crew whose customers are homeowners and builders deciding who to trust with the skeleton of a building. It was built from scratch, then rebuilt as a custom WordPress theme so Aron can add jobsite photos himself without the layout moving. We handled the import and the backups, submitted the site to Search Console, and put the quote form on authenticated SMTP so enquiries land in the inbox rather than the spam folder.

Every one of these was written by hand, and every one is still ours to look after.

“We wanted a digital hub our players use daily, and the site does exactly that. Mobile first, fast, interactive, and it sounds like us, not a template.”
